Sorry, I forgot that. In 14.04.

Comparing pam.d data with stock I had this:

in /etc/pam.d/common-auth
-auth	optional	pam_ecryptfs.so unwrap
+auth	optional			pam_smbpass.so migrate

 # and here are more per-package modules (the "Additional" block)
+password	optional			pam_smbpass.so nullok use_authtok use_first_pass

  Impossible to login once libpam-smbpass got installed

  New

Bug description:
  I've just given a friend PC that was not able to log in anymore.

  During an upgrade libpam-smbpass got installed, but this caused
  loggin-in impossible: basically when logging in from lightdm the
  spinner never stopped, while when logging in from tty1 after some long
  wait, the login prompt was shown again with no errors.

  After removing this lib, everything got fixed.
