I ran:

 2023  sudo systemctl disable avahi-daemon.socket avahi-daemon.service 
 2024  sudo systemctl stop avahi-daemon.socket avahi-daemon.service 
 2025  sudo ps -aux | head
 2026  sudo ps -aux | grep avahi
 2027  sudo apt-get purge avahi-daemon 
 2028  sudo rm /var/run/avahi-daemon/ -rf

chen at MSI-Ubuntu:/var/run$ sudo apt-get purge avahi-daemon
