       In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
       dmesg | tail or so.

Bug description:
  I'm running Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS 64 bits, kernel 3.13.0-37-generic.
  There is a dual boot with Mac OS X Yosemite.

  # mount -v -t hfsplus -o ro /dev/sda2 /mnt
  mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda2,
         missing codepage or helper program, or other error
         In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
         dmesg | tail  or so

  # dmesg | tail
