Title:
upgrade from vivid to wily aborted - dpkg: error processing package
fontconfig (--remove): triggers looping, abandoned
Status in dpkg package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
The main issue seemed to be fontconfig but I see a lot of unconfigured
packages in the log.
I reinstalled fontconfig from the command line and restarted the
upgrade which ten finished. I tried dpkg -a --configure and apt-get
install -f and neither did anything
Symptoms now
indicator-power needed to be reinstalled as I had no battery icon
ubuntu-sdk will not install
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
ubuntu-sdk : Depends: ubuntu-sdk-libs-dev but it is not going to be installed
Depends: qtcreator-plugin-ubuntu but it is not going to be installed
(This was do to some test version of oxide I somehow had installed)
