Title:
update-grub-gfxpayload should not use files ending with a "~" (backups
  of edited files)

Status in grub-gfxpayload-lists package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
The title is self-explanatory. After editing a file in /use/share
/grub-gfxpayload-lists/blacklist/ a backup file is left by almost
every text editor. This backup file should be omitted by update-grub-
  gfxpayload. It isn't.
