Title:
glibc backport request: sourceware bug 12926

Status in glibc package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released
Status in glibc source package in Precise:
  New
Status in glibc source package in Trusty:
  New
Status in glibc source package in Utopic:

Bug description:
  sourceware bug: https://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=12926
results in calls to getaddrinfo() spinning forever

This bug has been fixed in glibc master and included in 2.21 packages,
would it be possible to include a backport in the Trusty stable line
  (e.g. currently 2.19-0ubuntu6.6)?

  My environment:

  lsb_release -rd
  Description:	Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS
  Release:	14.04

  ldd --version
  (Ubuntu EGLIBC 2.19-0ubuntu6.6) 2.19
