Title:
Ubuntu installer crashes when trying to join PEAP secured network
Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
This occurred while trying to install Ubuntu 14.10 from the latest iso
(as of March 20, 2015).
Upon reaching the page of the installer which allows you to connect to
a wireless network, selecting a network which uses PEAP for its
security causes the installer to freeze and crash, dropping you to a
desktop session. Inside the desktop session, connecting through the
taskbar dropdown works normally (though the network is incorrectly
identified as using tunneled TLS, and must manually be changed to PEAP
in order to connect). Connecting from the desktop session and then
running the installer allows installation to continue normally.
