This is no more a supported version; and grub legacy upstream is also
stopped, only receiving possible random fixes locally

   Every time grub changes something i get only blinking cursor after selecting xp from boot menu. Each time I must boot to recovery with windows cd and issue "fixboot" commend to fix this.
  It wasn't an issue on 9.10
