Lucid is no more a supported version; and grub legacy upstream is also
stopped, only receiving possible random fixes locally

  I have been using the Hardy version for about a year and recently it
  told me I needed to manually update the package and I thought it did.

  The Hardy version had been working pretty good.

  It is on a PC that also has Xp which I have been using as the main
  system.
