Your installation medium is corrupt.  You need to recreate it and then
verify it using the check disc option at the boot menu.

Bug description:
  Trying to install ubuntu from usb the installer crushes with a message
  failed to copy files to disk this might happened because of a damaged
  CD/DVD. Ubuntu runs smoothly in try mode and the disk drive is a new
  ssd initially partitioned with gparted
