Patch by Artúr (ikartur) works for me well. OS: Linux Mint 17 Qiana (based on Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS) x86_64
It is also required to enable repository with sources before "apt-get source wodim" command.
The additional dependencies I have had to install:
  dpkg-dev
  build-essential:native
  debhelper
  libbz2-dev
  cmake
  libcap2-dev
  libmagic-dev
