Public bug reported:

The graphical installer fails to format encrypted partition if you try
to set up more than one and explicitly mark it all for formatting, and
then it acts surprised when attempting to mount unformatted junk data as
ext4 and aborts.

You can see the setup of the disk in the attached screenshot, with both sda5_crypt and sda6_crypt clearly set to be formatted.
You can also see the popup fails to recognize the formatting of sda5_crypt.

Unsurprisingly, if I click "Continue", I get a pretty much instant mount
failure of sda5_crypt and it aborts.

I tried rebooting, deleting the whole encrypted partitions and setting
it up again the same way, same result.

** Affects: base-installer (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
