[Bug 1462390] [NEW] kubuntu daily image fails to reboot after installation, reports I/O errors

Public bug reported:

After installing the daily image in virtualbox (4.3.28, in a wily host),
the virtual machine should normally reboot.

Instead, the machine hangs with multiple I/O errors.
I have checked the ISO image's integrity with md5sum, so it cannot be a bad download.

A screenshot with the I/O errors is attached.
