Public bug reported:

In our project we want to copy a config file to the testbed so that it
can be read in any test. Right now we put it in /tmp, but this is only
cleaned up on reboot. The file should persist across all tests.

** Affects: autopkgtest (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
