Title:
update manager failed update from 11.04 to 11.10

Status in update-manager package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
update manager failed to update from 11.04 to 11.10 and suggested it
might be due to various things but gave no clue as to which packages
might cause the problem (none are broken) or any other information I
might use to help correct the problem. It should either do its job or
report specifically which packages were problematic so a human might
  do something about it.
