Hey Martin,
I see on that systemd-devel thread that a potential fix has been
committed. If you update your PPA, I will try it an see if it fixes it
for me.

Bug description:
Using systemd from ppa:pittti/systemd, I'm experiencing quirky session
behavior such as not being able to reboot or shutdown due to gnome-
session wanting interactive authentication.
Here are the requested outputs:
