When you say the live OS can see the RAID drive, could you give us a bit
more details? If you could attach a screenshot, that would be best.

Also, please add the output of 'sudo parted -l', this will help seeing
how the drives are being presented to the system, and thus to the
installer.

  RAID drive not seen by installer

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  I have three HDD devices on my computer.
  Two are in a RAID 0 (or, RAID 1, I don't remember which has different data on both drives), and a single, nonraid drive.
  Only the non raid drive shows up in the installer, despite the fact that the live OS can see the RAID drive.

  This was found on Kubuntu 14.04
