[Bug 1415867] [NEW] Lubunt vivid on USB stick - failed to copy file from CD-ROM

Public bug reported:

When trying to install the 2015-01-28 Alternate image for Lubuntu Vivid,
the installation fails on the step "Load installer components from CD"

To get the error, I download the image

http://people.ubuntu.com/~larsnooden/Hw/macbookpro.lshw.html

and put it on a USB stick with dd.  Then I power up the machine holding
ALT and getting the choice of boot media.  I select the one for the USB
stick and it goes through some of the initial steps like Keyboard layout
but it fails when it gets to the step "Load installer components from
CD"

What should happen is that the installer proceeds wth the installation.
