First, I'd like to say that this should not have been posted here. I
didn't realize where this was going when I clicked the report button
presented by the crashed installer. Perhaps that's worth clarifying in
its presentation, and perhaps the fact that the downloading continued
after crashing is a bit of a bug. I think it is unimportant though.

Second, thank you for looking at this Phillip. I had installed four new
sticks of ram and they appeared fine, but problems started developing
fast. This took me by surprise and your suggestion led me to finding one
of the sticks with massive failure. Replacing it, solved all problems.
