I had picked "Something Else" when I was in the installer. I had taken a
screenshot, but originally decided not to upload it; I attached it. Note
the first time I tried the install, I picked /dev/sdc for bootloader
installation, but I took the screenshot the second time, when I tried
picking /dev/sdc1 to see if there would be any difference. (There
wasn't.)

Title:
Ubiquity crashed (twice separately) when trying to install GRUB to
  flash drive

Status in grub-installer package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Ubiquity installer first said that the bootloader (which was set to
install to a USB flash drive, /dev/sdc) was unable to install, then
immediately after I closed the error dialog, the installer crashed.

This happened twice in a row, on separate boots.
