Title:
Grub2 error setting resolution to 1440x900 in Thinkpad T400

Status in grub package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: grub

I'm using the latest Karmic packages and I'm using grub2 successfully.

However I cannot set the resolution to 1440x900 in grub2 (it works
with the KMS and in the X.org). The screen shows a bunch of random
pixels, although Linux boots a few seconds after. The higher
resolution that is shown properly is 1280x800
