Title:
dpkg question about menu.lst is misleading

Status in grub package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: grub

When updating the kernel I got a question from dpkg about a difference
between my menu.lst and the package one. To me it wasn't clear what
that package one was and I feard it would overwrite my local
additions, so I choose to keep the local one. After that update-grub
stopped to work. Apparently the generated menu.lst is seen as the
package one. In my opinion this is not clear at all and can result
easliy - as was the case with me - in taking the wrong decision.
