I believe that I'm seeing the same issue, seeing lots of the following
error in the samba logs:

validate_nmb_packet: Bad QUERY Packet. validate_nmb_packet: Ignoring
request packet with opcode 0.

Bug description:
  Dear all,

  I'm running Samba 4.1.6 with Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS Little Endian on a
  Power 8. There is a bug on this release
  (https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10590) that is fixed in
  the release deployed with Ubuntu 14.10.

  Would it be possible to add this fix to the 14.04.1 too?
