Your installation medium is corrupt.  You will need to recreate it and
should verify it using the check disc option from the boot menu.

  when trying to install ubuntu 15.04 64 bit it said something about the
  grub package efi amd64 wouldnt install, and therefore wouldnt be able
  to boot ubuntu
