Could you provide /var/log/syslog from the system which you were trying
to install upon? apport should have attached it but it seems to be
empty.

  Tried twice, first time I thought it was not enough memory so I went
  from 512 MB to 4 GB but it happened again. Will try again with the
  options "Install third-party" and Update turned off...
