  Live USB boots to blank screen on Try Kubuntu

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  I create a live USB from today's image
  (http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/daily-live/20150421/vivid-
  desktop-i386.iso), boot it, and select Try Kubuntu and get a blank
  screen, both on real hardware and in a VMware Player VM.
