Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Reviewing your log files attached to this bug report it
seems that there is a problem with your installation media (CD/DVD).
You can verify the integrity of the Ubuntu ISO files you downloaded by
following the instructions at
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM. You might also retry
your installation with new media. In the event that is is not in fact
an error with your installation media please set the bug's status back
to New. Thanks and good luck!

[This is an automated message. I apologize if it reached you
inappropriately; please just reply to this message indicating so.]

Title:
mythbuntu installer crash: Unable to install 'cryptsetup' due to
  conflicts.

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
The mythbuntu 14.04.02 installer crashes while unpacking packages. It
has happened exactly the same way twice in a row.

I chose my own partitioning system, where I installed mythbuntu onto
an existing partition without formatting it. There was already
something a bit wierd in the installer because after selecting that
the existing partition should be mounted as root, I got a message
saying that changes to the partition table were permanent. However
there was to be no change to the partition table so I said go back.
The second time that I went ahead with the changes I got a warning
about the installer wiping out /lib, /etc from the pre-existing
partition. This warning seemed more reasonable so I went ahead with
  that.

All seemed to go well until a few minutes later in the package copying
  phase.

The key error in ubiquity seems to be as follows:

  ubiquity.install_misc.InstallStepError: Unable to install 'cryptsetup'
  due to conflicts.

I will note that in the installer the choice to encrypt my home
partition was greyed out and pre-selected. I could not alter this
  choice during the install.

It doesn't make any difference if the option to download updates
during installation is selected or not.

If I drop to a terminal and manually do apt-get install cryptsetup I
find out that the problem is that cryptsetup depends on lsb-base
4.1+Debian11ubuntu7 but version 4.1+Debian11ubuntu6 is going to be
  installed.
