Title:
Installer hangs after clicking "Restart Now" when running under qemu

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  In Progress

Bug description:
I'm running Vivid for the host, installing a Vivid qemu guest from the
  latest daily desktop ISO (sha1sum
  e8e4f19d4017bec2785aab62894355afb67bfce1). 64bit host and guest.

The install seemingly completes correctly, but at the end when you get
to the "Installation Complete" dialog, clicking "Restart Now" causes
the installer to hang rather than reboot (see attached screenshot).

You can work around this by booting the ISO with init=/sbin/upstart.
So it's at least related to systemd, although how exactly I don't
  know.

This bug seemingly doesn't occur when installing on physical hardware,
only when installing on a qemu VM. I'm not sure whether this happens
with other VM solutions like VirtualBox, VMware, etc., as I haven't
  tested those.
