Public bug reported:

During installation `dd` runs for a long time (up to 10 or 30 minutes -
depending on the machine). During the run there's no feedback for the
user and he_she might assume that the installer is hanging.

According to
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1439862 `dd`
doesn't run during swap creation which leaves the question whether its
run isn't intended at all or whether feedback needs to be improved only.
