[Bug 1374228] Re: Once started, the thumbdrive is erased, but the process cannot continue

Error in my description, because the reason I couldn't continue is that
the USB key was too small for the ISO. However, this is a terrible way
to leave the user hanging. Some sort of status message or error message
should be generated telling the user that the write cannot be completed
because the target is too small.

Title:
Once started, the thumbdrive is erased, but the process cannot
  continue

Status in “usb-creator” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
This worked when Trusty was released, as I used it multiple times to
burn various *buntu ISOs for people at Linuxfest NW. Now the
thumbdrive is erased, but the next step is never made available. "Make
Startup Disk" button remains grayed out. Unetbootin seems to work, so
it isn't the ISO or the thumbdrive.
