I figured out for myself that it is a gnome issue. If you install eg KDE
over the existing installation the error disappears.. Seems to be an issue
with the gnome wm

  While booting cryptsetup outputs following error: /scripts/local-
  top/cryptroot: line 1: can't open /dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-root: no such
