Ubuntu using an older version of the installation media.  The latest
point release of 14.04 is 14.04.1. Please try installing from that

Bug description:
   ubiquity fails to install lucid 64bit from live usb 
  A reinstallation that crashes with errNo5. Tried 3 times on a DVD that previosly succeeded and an installation copied from an ISO image to a USB stick
