Seems like this is an issue for quite a few people:
http://askubuntu.com/questions/267746/how-can-i-install-the-latest-upstream-version-of-imagemagick-without-compiling
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2189963
http://www.imagemagick.org/discourse-server/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=25912

6.8.9.6-4 is now in debian unstable ->
https://packages.debian.org/sid/imagemagick . Is there anything still
blocking this? Let me know if there is anything I can do to help get
this updated. Thanks!
