Title:
Unable to install Ubuntu 14.10 with netboot image and Broadcom NIC
Status in “debian-installer” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
---Problem Description---
It appears the issue fixed in LP bug 1356948 may not have been propagated to the netboot install image. During a network install using the latest 14.10 install image (netboot or dvd ) the BCM57800 / BCM57810 cards fail to initialize and a network install cannot be performed. Installing 14.10 using a DVD image or over an alternate NIC succeeds. Once installed, the NIC's can be initialized and configured.
---uname output---
Linux p812l 3.16.0-23-generic #30-Ubuntu SMP Thu Oct 16 13:13:30 UTC 2014 ppc64le ppc64le ppc64le GNU/Linux
