[Bug 1205054] Re: Unpolished prompt for encrypted-disk passphrase

Would it be possible to add a display label field in /etc/crypttab and
then use it when prompting? "Enter passphrase for the root filesystem"
would be more user-friendly compared to /dev/sda2 or UUIDs.

Title:
  Unpolished prompt for encrypted-disk passphrase

Status in “plymouth” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
This concerns plymouth 0.8.8-0ubuntu6.1 as deployed on Xubuntu raring.

I installed from the live CD, and set up encrypted volumes. When
booting into the new system, I am prompted for the passphrase at the
splash screen. Unfortunately, the text of the prompt is not formatted
to fit the screen, giving it an unpolished, un-Ubuntu-like look. A
  screenshot is attached.
