Are you saying that when you choose the option "Windows Boot Manager (on
/dev/sda2)" from the grub menu, you get the "error: symbol
'grub_term_highlight_color' not found"?

** Changed in: grub2 (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Incomplete

Title:
  Ubuntu 14.04 fresh install results in "error: symbol
  'grub_term_highlight_color' not found"

Status in “grub2” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  I have an HP notebook, one hdd, with ub 13.04 and win 8 dual boot with EFI. I freshly installed ub 14.04 over the old one partition.
  At the startup i got that grub error message.
  First I tried with boot-repair http://paste.ubuntu.com/7951398/ , then manually with a complete purge and reinstall of grub-efi-amd64, plus grub-install, dpkg-reconfigure grub-efi-amd64 and update grub2, as seen in other posts.
  None of that worked.
