You might trying setting MAILTO="" in the /etc/cron.daily/update-
notifier-common file.

Bug description:
  From time to time I get emails like these

  Anacron job 'cron.daily' on M1

  /etc/cron.daily/update-notifier-common:
  flashplugin-installer: downloading http://archive.canonical.com/pool/partner/a/adobe-flashplugin/adobe-flashplugin_11.2.202.406.orig.tar.gz
  Installing from local file /tmp/tmpHYwxRg.gz
  Flash Plugin installed.

  I do not want to be informed about these updates at all. Just do them
  silently.

  Been looking everywhere and still do not know how to disable these
  anacron email notifications. Any ideas?
