Title:
Utopic: Cannot install with "full disk encryption" in Utopic

Status in cryptsetup:
  New
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
After attempting to install Utopic on a laptop using the “full disk
encryption” option, I am unable to get past the full disk encryption
log in screen on first boot. Thinking that I possibly specified the
wrong password during the initial installation, I attempted to
reinstall Utopic, again using the “full disk encryption” option, but
was once again unable to to get past the full disk encryption log in
  screen on first boot.

As a check on whether the problem is with the laptop itself, I
installed Utopic on the same laptop WITHOUT selecting the “full disk
encrytion” option. So long “full disk encrytion” option is NOT
selected during setup, Utopic boots up just fine on this laptop.
However, like in the past, cryptsetup wasn't being installed by
default, and so, to access an external LUKS partition from this
laptop, I had to install cryptsetup on this system.

As another check on whether the problem is with the laptop itself, I
installed Trusty, but once again using the “full disk encryption”
option. With Trusty on this laptop, I am able to get past the full
disk encryption log in screen on first boot, and full disk encryption
works just fine on this laptop. Also, in this case (with the “full
disk encryption” option being selected during Trusty setup),
  cryptsetup was installed by default.

QUESTION: Is cryptsetup scheduled to be installed (as it must be to
enable access to a LUKS encrypted disk) when the “full disk encrytion”
option is selected during setup of Utopic? If not, that might explain
why I can't get past the full disk encryption log in screen on first
boot. (I'd check it, but without being able to boot the system, I
don't know of any easy way to do so.)
