[Bug 1396127] [NEW] Installing with an invalid partition scheme fails ungracefully

Public bug reported:

Tried installing to a btrfs root partition without a separate /boot,
this is accepted by the installer but fails on grub-installer midway
through the installation process. The validity of the partition scheme
should probably be checked earlier in the process.
