Public bug reported:

Updating from 14.04 to 14.10 update-manager stopped at 'Setting new
software channels' with a message about 'could not calculate the
upgrade' asking me to report a bug by doing 'ubuntu-bug ubuntu-release-
upgrader-core' instead of providing *any* information where it failed.

Is there any way to get verbose output from the process? I mean some
people would prefer to look into the issue and would be able to fix it
on their own instead of using some bug report tool....

yay! now I saw the hint where to find the log in the guidelines for
reporting bugs.. how about just mentioning them in the error dialog? :-)

** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
