Title:
Samba 3.4 member server in domain fails to authenticate users

Status in “samba” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released
Status in “samba” source package in Karmic:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: samba

Find out by using the following setup:
Windows Domain Controller, Ubuntu 9.10 as member server which has succesfully joined the domain. A share with some domain users mapped to unix account with "username map" does not work anymore with NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE.

This bug is fixed in Samba 3.4.1 according to
  https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6650

Would be nice to get this fixed in Karmic too.
