Public bug reported:

Could not calculate the upgrade. An unresolvable problem occured while
calculating the upgrade". There are no details in the error dialog about
what went wrong. A screenshot of the error dialog and the usual Ubuntu-
collected information is attached.

This is a dupilcate, of course, but the bug reporting system won't find
the correct bug report (Bug #1274672 ) even if the exact title or number
is given. A Google search indicates 1,100 hits related to "could not
calculate the upgrade". So it's probably a real bug.

Some comments on this bug indicate that "cinnamon" is the problem.
"Cinnamon" is not installed.
