This sounds like a bug in the installer, ubiquity, and it not being
updated for the new release number.

** Package changed: ubuntu => ubiquity (Ubuntu)

** Summary changed:

- Xubuntu 14.10 displays 14.04 on startup
+ Xubuntu 14.10 displays 14.04 during install

Title:
Xubuntu 14.10 displays 14.04 during install

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I have downloaded the nightly build of Xubuntu 14.10 which is still in
development. As soon as I boot from the media and choose "Install
Xubuntu", it says Xubuntu 14.04 instead of Xubuntu 14.10. I ran the
installation media in Oracle VM VirtualBox (http://www.virtualbox.org)
and downloaded the file from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/xubuntu/daily-
live/current/utopic-desktop-i386.iso. After it loads and I see the
desktop it says 14.10 as normal.
