Public bug reported:

I began experiencing trouble with google password change related efforts
about a week ago and chromium would "stop unexpectedly" each time I
tried to "login to chromium" (i.e. because the "login information is
outdated" following a password change/reset initiated by myself via a
browser window at google. I was able to submit a few automated error
reports but after a few of these, chromium would simply shut down each
time after I tried to "login to chromium" and no further prompts/error
messages were provided.

Today, I was attempting to upgrade to Kubuntu 13.10 when I received a
number of error messages during the process. Most of those messages
seemed to be generated when the upgrade process was attemtping to
install/replace/upgrade chromium and also when I attempted to submit an
automated bug report; I was informed that "[chromium] may not be
functional" and that "chromium cannot be run as root". There may have
been one or two more messages about "apport" not functioning as well.

After approximately 65% of the upgrade process had completed, I received
a message that the upgrade had failed and would I please navigate to
this web page and submit an error report.

All my google services seem to be funtionning properly and aside from a
minor issue with Kmail, everything else seems to me as if it;s working
just fine.

The final error message which prompted me to submit this report also
indicated I should attach the files in /var/log/dist-upgrade but the web
page I'm presently at does not seem to support multiple file attachments
so I am uncertain what to do at this time.

I will attach the 'history' log file as this seems to most
logical/reasonable one to me at this time.

If you require any additional information from me, please feel free to
contact me via email at alain.paquette11 at gmail.com.

Respectfully;

Alain paquette.
