[Bug 1293450] [NEW] The Package System is Broken

Dear Experts,
I am using ubuntu 12.04. 
Recently, I started facing issues in updating and installing any packages. Following is the error message I rreceive when I try to update it [1]
When I try using this command, following is the output [2].

I request to kindly reply and help me in fixing this bug.
