Title:
13.10 install image fails with "??? ???" message

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
After selecting "erase and install" and the drive to install on, I
click "Install Now" and an error dialog pops up above the timezone
selection map entitled "??? ???" and having the same text.

I am attempting to install over a relatively fresh LTS install (12.4,
only a few days old). LTS installed successfully, but is not usable
due to aging software versions in apt-get.

I'm installing on an Asus Zenbook UX301LAA on the 256G volume that is
  a raid0 of two 128G SSDs.
