After several tries the release upgrade has been done via apt-get.
I hope the system is stable enough to wait the release 14.10.

Bug description:
  Hello,

  When I launch 'do-release-upgrade' it always fail saying I have to
  report a bug against ubuntu-release-upgrader-core.

  I removed all external sources and I don't use any closed source
  driver.
