I remembered that before I started the major upgrade, I had started
opening a .deb for Chrome browser. Before starting the upgrade, I did
pause the package manager for the chrome installation.

I'm curious how the upgrader could do any work with another package
manager running? It only crashed when it tried to get lock to remove
obsolete packages.

When I rebooted the system, this package manager was not running. I
tried to remove about 3 obsolete packages that Muon Package Manager
identified. While no bug was generated, nothing happened.

So, I still have issues with Muon Package Manager to identify and remove
30 obsolete packages.
