Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Reviewing your log files attached to this bug report it
seems that there is a problem with the disk to which you are trying to
install Ubuntu. I'd recommend performing a back up of your existing
operating system and then investigating the situation. Measures you
might take include checking cable connections for your disks and using
software tools to investigate the health of your hardware. In the event
that is is not in fact an error with your hardware please set the bug's
status back to New. Thanks and good luck!
[This is an automated message. I apologize if it reached you
inappropriately; please just reply to this message indicating so.]

Title:
Installing to a USB HD stick crashes
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
I've tried several times, but it keeps crashing, usually saying that
it does not have permission to remove some file and then crashing the
installer. It fails earlier if I try to create new partiotions on the
destination USB-stick.
The destination USB-stick is a Kingston DataTraveler Workspace 64 GB
(USB 3.0) and I'm running on a Lenovo Thinkpad X240 USB3-capable
laptop, with secure boot disabled and legacy bios mode.
