[Bug 1327468] [NEW] Wishlist: would like display-options preferences

Public bug reported:

I would like there to be a preferences option that would allow me to:

1) make the "Technical Description" section of the initial window always activated
2) make the "details" section of the "Applying Changes" window always activated
3) make the "Applying Changes" window always maximized

Now, there is already a "settings" button, but this only sets the circumstances under which the update-notifier program runs:
which type of software updates, and how often to check for them.

"Settings" could be expanded to include how the information in the
initial window and the "Applying Changes" window is presented.

[The initial window currently comes up always maximized for me - I don't
know if it is maximized because it was set always to come up that way,
or because I maximized it, and it remembered that and subsequently
always did so. This could also potentially be a user-selectable
option...]

One other thing - the actual package name doesn't currently appear until one looks at the "Technical Description"
Might it be possible to have a set number of characters for the currently displayed description, and then have the package name on the same line? Or make that also a user-selectable option...? (I imagine that the original update manager, which only gave package-name might, have been changed to make it less confusing for the less-advanced user, but I for one would like to see the package name as well...)

Thank you for viewing my suggestion(s).
